Charming canine characters
Bruno, the white Poodle in The Meyerowitz Stories, was awarded the Palm Dog at the 17th edition. The canine actor played his role remarkably well alongside Dustin Hoffman. One key scene in the film shows the four-legged actor causing Mr. Hoffman’s character to stumble.
This year, the Jury Grand Prize went to Ava by Léa Mysius. Journalists and film critics praised the performance of Lupo, the faithful four-legged companion of the spirited young heroines. The canine character amused the Palm Dog judges by stealing fries while a bather enjoyed a nap on the beach.

A well-deserved recognition for brave dogs
Another highlight of this fur-filled event? The arrival of three security dogs! Lilou, Glock and Even, tasked with maintaining safety during the Cannes Film Festival, received a special award during the ceremony amid thunderous applause. “A well-deserved recognition for these brave dogs,” said Toby Rose, founder of the Palm Dog.
