A new paradisiacal setting for the Palm Dog

For this 18th edition, a new venue was chosen for the Palm Dog: the Members’ Club in Cannes. With the sea in the background and warm sand as a red carpet, it was an ideal location to honour the winner.

Joy, the canine star of Dogman, won the prestigious collar. Marcello Fonte, the lead actor in Matteo Garrone’s film who had won the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival, and Oscar-winning producer Jeremy Thomas were present to celebrate this highlight.

A journey into imagination

Another film celebrated during this unique event? Diamantino by Gabriel Abrantes and Daniel Schmidt. One scene immerses viewers in the vision of the main character, a footballer played by Carloto Cotta, where giant Pekingese run across a football pitch.

An original and fantastical moment that left the Palm Dog jury thoroughly impressed!
